Open Gate becomes Partner of Maria DB

Starting from today we officially are Maria DB partners.

Maria DB is based on MySQL, it is available under the terms of the GPL v2 license and it is kept up to date with the latest version of the same branch of MySQL. In general, MariaDB works exactly as MySQL: all commands, interfaces, libraries and APIs existing in one, can also be found in the other one. You don’t need to convert the database to switch to Maria DB and, moreover, it also has many new interesting features.

The Father of Maria DB is Michael “Monty” Widenius, the Swedish programmer who started and led for a long time MySQL.

Now Open Gate is officially Channel Partner Certificated of Mary DB: this is for us a great proof of mutual respect and this also means that we will have access to a wide range of technical resources from which also our customers will have great benefits.
